The Production Management Department is made up of 40 employees. Its focus is on the design and IT support of business processes in production and logistics networks. Its research units Supply Chain Design, Logistics Management and Order Management as well as the Competence Centre IT Selection work on the holistic design and efficient organisation of all material and information flows between the supplier and the customer.
Nationally and internationally, the department is regarded as a competent research partner in the field of order processing design, for both traditional sectors such as mechanical and plant engineering or the consumer goods industry, as well as sunrise industries such as renewable energies and medical engineering.
