Optimising material, goods and information flows

The research group Supply Chain Design works on the strategy-oriented design of value added networks and chains, taking into consideration innovative SCM concepts (supply chain management). This mainly includes long-term planning, modelling and optimisation of cross-company material, goods and information flows. The group develops and uses methods that support companies in planning the right network structure and in selecting locations. In addition, the group helps to design supply relations with suppliers and customers as well as between a company’s own locations, capacities, production and storage facilities.
